Plain suede is a lovely material to use when making your kippah choice. Suede has a different feel then silk or satin. Silk and stain are smoother then suede. Suede feels a little rougher to the hand. This does not diminish it's capacity to make good kippot. It really depends on you, the consumer, as to what type of material you like. Some people simply love the feel of suede, others like the feel of silk. Either one likely won't be noticeable as the kippah sits atop the head. The only time you really feel much of a difference is when putting the kippah on or taking it off.
